Assembly member of Tafo Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti region, Mr. Owusu King is reported  to have been suspended for telling the media about how the MCE and other Assembly members diverted COVID19 relief items meant for the vulnerable.

Tafo Pankrono MCE, Fred Owusu Obeng was accused of diverting COVID-19 relief items meant for vulnerable in the Municipality whilst some of the food items were sold up in the market below the normal price.

The Tafo Nhyiaeso member, upon seeing such ungodly act reported to silver news’ Akwadaa Nyame monitored by Africanewsgh.blogspot.com.

The MCE denied the acts but it is reported that Hon. Owusu King has been subjected to be suspended for breaking the oath of secrecy in the standing orders of the Assembly.

In reaction to this development on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum, Lawyer Paul Kumi, a constitutional lawyer says the Assembly’s decision to suspend the Assembly member on the said basis is illegal.
