BROTHER KILLS BROTHER AT AKOKOAMONG

Disheartening information reaching Silver News indicates that, a 27 year old, Kofi Aquah popularly known as Alabista has been butchered to death by his brother, Owura.

The incident happened at a farming community called Akokoamong near Pakoso in the Asokore Mampong District of the Ashanti Region.

Narrating the sadden incident to Silver Omanbapa Morning Show, Emmanuel Owusu Bannie-eye witness told host, Nana Ampratwum that, the deceased had a little misunderstanding with his younger brother (Owura-the suspect) and threatened to beat him.

According to Emma, Owura (the suspect) informed his older brother in vicinity to revenge on his behalf.

The brother hired thugs (rascals) who stormed the town(Akokoamong) to fight for the younger brother.

The confusion was separated by the community members but two of the thugs refused to return to the place. They later meandered themselves to the room where Kofi Aquah was hiding.

Unknowingly to the diseased, he tried to step out from the room but was unfortunately accosted by his attackers who ‘slaughtered’ his neck with a sharp machete locally known as ‘Langa”.

Kofi Aquah a.k.a Alabista ‘gave up the ghost’ instantly.

  The eye witness, Emmanuel Owusu also disclosed that, the youth in the community after hearing the uncalled happening gathered and arrested one of the suspects and subsequently beat, burnt him to death.

NDC YOUTH VANDALIZED PARTY OFFICE

  Irate youth of the National Democratic Congress in the Suame Constituency have vandalized the office of the National Democratic Congress at Suame. Leader angry youth, Mohammed Naail speaking to Silver fm reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, the executives  within the party has failed to meet up to their expectation. According to him, the constituency Chairman does not vote at the Suame Constituency hence he can’t become the Chairman of the party per their rules. He added that, there is an injunction on Shaba by the court that prevents him from entering the party’s office. He noted that, they felt disappointed towards the Ashanti regional Chairman on the NDC for giving a clearance letter to Shaba to become the Chairman of the constituency without informing anybody. He disclosed that, they vandalized the office to express their dissatisfaction towards the leaders of the party. GHANA RISK OF FOOD DROUGHT IF DESERTIFICATION PERSISTS-WETLAND MANAGER WARNS

Dickson Agyemang, Operations manager for Wetland under the Forestry Commission has revealed that consistent desertification of lands and building in water ways may lead the country into food crisis in the coming years. Ghana is losing more than 20 percent forest reserve every year due to desertification such as mining activities, felling down of trees and the likes, he revealed when speaking on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum. He added that Ghana is in a risk of food crisis and extreme poverty if we continue the activities that destroy farmlands and forest reserves. Mr. Agyemang therefore encouraged Ghanaians to report people who build in water areas for legal action to be taken against them.
