REDUCE TRANSPORT FARES- PASSENGERS TO GOV’T

Some passengers within the Kumasi Metropolis have expressed their dissatisfaction following the increment of transport fares by 15%.

According to them, the percentage is too much hence the need for the authorities to reduce it.

They added that, the announcement was not properly made to them.

Transport fares have been increased by 15 percent, from Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Deputy Transport Minister, Titus Glover in an interview with the media said government took the decision in acknowledgment of the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on drivers.

Meanwhile some of the drivers also pleaded with the passengers to have patients with them.
