EVERYONE WILL ENJOY FREE WATER-GWC

The Ashanti regional Commercial Manager at Ghana Water Company (GWC), Theophilus Collins has stated that, they will use the same measures they used previously to help everyone gets free water for the next three months.

Speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Omanbapa Morning show, he said, everyone who use water for domestic purposes will use the water for free and same goes to the public waters.

He added that, private companies who sell waters to their customers should be given free.

He noted that, they have been cautioned not to disconnect anyone’s water.

He disclosed that, anyone who collects their water through the Ghana Water Company will have free water supply for the next three months.

He again urged everyone to report anyone who takes money from them before given water to the nearest Ghana Water Company.

NDC YOUTH VANDALIZED PARTY OFFICE

  Irate youth of the National Democratic Congress in the Suame Constituency have vandalized the office of the National Democratic Congress at Suame. Leader angry youth, Mohammed Naail speaking to Silver fm reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, the executives  within the party has failed to meet up to their expectation. According to him, the constituency Chairman does not vote at the Suame Constituency hence he can’t become the Chairman of the party per their rules. He added that, there is an injunction on Shaba by the court that prevents him from entering the party’s office. He noted that, they felt disappointed towards the Ashanti regional Chairman on the NDC for giving a clearance letter to Shaba to become the Chairman of the constituency without informing anybody. He disclosed that, they vandalized the office to express their dissatisfaction towards the leaders of the party. GHANA RISK OF FOOD DROUGHT IF DESERTIFICATION PERSISTS-WETLAND MANAGER WARNS

Dickson Agyemang, Operations manager for Wetland under the Forestry Commission has revealed that consistent desertification of lands and building in water ways may lead the country into food crisis in the coming years. Ghana is losing more than 20 percent forest reserve every year due to desertification such as mining activities, felling down of trees and the likes, he revealed when speaking on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum. He added that Ghana is in a risk of food crisis and extreme poverty if we continue the activities that destroy farmlands and forest reserves. Mr. Agyemang therefore encouraged Ghanaians to report people who build in water areas for legal action to be taken against them.
