PEOPLE SEEN IN THE VIDEOS ARE NDC SUPPORTERS-NANA B

The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party video at the Banda Constituency are member of the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC). , Henry Nana Boakye, aka, Nana B has speculated that, residents who were seen in viral video are members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, no Military Officer was seen in the video touching or beating any member of any community.

He added that, these speculations are only done by the NDC to tarnish the image of the New Patriotic Party and Nana Akufo Addo’s administration.

He noted that, these Securities are only there for peace to prevail in this ongoing registration exercise.

He made these after the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, released video and photo evidence of supposed military intimidation of some Ghanaians in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Officials of the opposition party insist such actions are calculated attempts by the governing New Patriotic Party to suppress votes in the NDC’s strongholds.

The NDC released the visuals following a challenge thrown it by the Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul for the party to provide evidence of its military intimidation and voter suppression claims.

Addressing the press at the NDC’s headquarters in Accra, National Communication Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, referenced recent pockets of violence at some registration centres and developments at Banda where residents in settler communities were allegedly prevented by the military from registering in the voter registration exercise.

NDC YOUTH VANDALIZED PARTY OFFICE

  Irate youth of the National Democratic Congress in the Suame Constituency have vandalized the office of the National Democratic Congress at Suame. Leader angry youth, Mohammed Naail speaking to Silver fm reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, the executives  within the party has failed to meet up to their expectation. According to him, the constituency Chairman does not vote at the Suame Constituency hence he can’t become the Chairman of the party per their rules. He added that, there is an injunction on Shaba by the court that prevents him from entering the party’s office. He noted that, they felt disappointed towards the Ashanti regional Chairman on the NDC for giving a clearance letter to Shaba to become the Chairman of the constituency without informing anybody. He disclosed that, they vandalized the office to express their dissatisfaction towards the leaders of the party. GHANA RISK OF FOOD DROUGHT IF DESERTIFICATION PERSISTS-WETLAND MANAGER WARNS

Dickson Agyemang, Operations manager for Wetland under the Forestry Commission has revealed that consistent desertification of lands and building in water ways may lead the country into food crisis in the coming years. Ghana is losing more than 20 percent forest reserve every year due to desertification such as mining activities, felling down of trees and the likes, he revealed when speaking on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum. He added that Ghana is in a risk of food crisis and extreme poverty if we continue the activities that destroy farmlands and forest reserves. Mr. Agyemang therefore encouraged Ghanaians to report people who build in water areas for legal action to be taken against them.
