PRESIDENT, OTUMFOUR OFFICIALLY OPENED THE KUMASI INTEGRATED COMPOSTING RECYCLING PLANT

 

The President of Ghana, H. E. Nana Akufo Addoand Otumfour Osei Tutu II has today officially opened the Kumasi Integrated Composting Recycling Plant at Esereso_Adagya in the Bosomtwe District.   

He expressed his profound gratitude to the management of Jospong Group of Companies and other stakeholders for the success of the Kumasi Composting Recycling Plant.

According to him, the Kumasi Composting Recycling Plant is a state waste management facility with the capacity to process some 1,200 metric tons per day.

He added that, the facility comprises of washing bay, clinic, conference etc that will help bost the company.

“I commend Jospong group of Company for the construction of the 7.5k road”, he said.



He noted the Composting Recycling plant will create some 800 directly and indirectly employment opportunity in the Ashanti region.

“This project will help reduce the unemployment rate within the country”, he noted.

He disclosed that, the integrated composting will help which has 90%recovering rate will boost the health of the environment and also enhance tourism.

He revealed that, the waste products will be turned into organic manure for farmers to use on their farms.

 He again urged Ghanaians to vote for him and the New Patriotic Party to continue developing the country.

Other Dignitaries who graced the occasion was Member of  Parliament for Suame Constituency who doubles as the Majority Leader in Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Ashanti regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Minister of Sanitation and Natural Resources, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, etc.

The President today 28th September, 2020 begun his three day tour in the Ashanti region and will complete on the 30th September 2020.

The Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Siaw Agyapong disclosed that, this recycling plant would not be successful without the help from the President Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
