SAKAWA TRIBE TAG: GHANAIANS SHOULD IGNORE DR. BAWUMIA-LAWYER TAMAKLOE

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on former President John Dramani Mahama to apologise to the people of Akyem for allegedly describing them as “Akyem Sakawa Mafia".

This, according to him, is because it is unacceptable for the former President to lump a whole tribe with one negative description.

Addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of Gushegu, Dr. Bawumia said Mr. Mahama who is also the flagbearer of the opposition NDC, cannot win an election based on insults and tribal division.

 Reacting to this, the Special Aide to Former President, John Dramani Mahama, Lawyer Godwin Edud
zi Tamakloe said John Mahama made certain references in his statement.

According to him, Ghanaians should not take Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia seriously.

He added that, the only way Dr. Bawumia can be relevant is to talk about this because he is a discredited person.

NDC YOUTH VANDALIZED PARTY OFFICE

  Irate youth of the National Democratic Congress in the Suame Constituency have vandalized the office of the National Democratic Congress at Suame. Leader angry youth, Mohammed Naail speaking to Silver fm reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, the executives  within the party has failed to meet up to their expectation. According to him, the constituency Chairman does not vote at the Suame Constituency hence he can’t become the Chairman of the party per their rules. He added that, there is an injunction on Shaba by the court that prevents him from entering the party’s office. He noted that, they felt disappointed towards the Ashanti regional Chairman on the NDC for giving a clearance letter to Shaba to become the Chairman of the constituency without informing anybody. He disclosed that, they vandalized the office to express their dissatisfaction towards the leaders of the party. GHANA RISK OF FOOD DROUGHT IF DESERTIFICATION PERSISTS-WETLAND MANAGER WARNS

Dickson Agyemang, Operations manager for Wetland under the Forestry Commission has revealed that consistent desertification of lands and building in water ways may lead the country into food crisis in the coming years. Ghana is losing more than 20 percent forest reserve every year due to desertification such as mining activities, felling down of trees and the likes, he revealed when speaking on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum. He added that Ghana is in a risk of food crisis and extreme poverty if we continue the activities that destroy farmlands and forest reserves. Mr. Agyemang therefore encouraged Ghanaians to report people who build in water areas for legal action to be taken against them.
