Coronavirus: Ridge Hospital allowed us bathe our infected relative – Family

  The family of a 49-year-old woman who died at the Ridge Hospital in Accra has accused the management of the facility of negligence after relatives were allowed access to the body of the deceased despite her COVID-19 status. According to the family of the late Adiza Mohammed, authorities at Ridge allowed them to take hold of the body and bathe it when she died without any knowledge of her COVID status. They told the media that the hospital allowed them to feed and touch her when she was on admission before her death. The deceased, mother of four, was admitted at the Ridge hospital on Friday, February 19, 2021, but died on Sunday, February 21. The family was however told of her COVID status after they were given cause of death by the hospital. Family members who are challenging the causee of death of their relative say the hospital also failed to alert the COVID-19 taskforce to embark on contract tracing since no one in the family has been checked upon or tested for

COVID-19 VACCINES- ONLY PEOPLE WITH ID CARDS WILL BE VACCINATED-DR. NSIAH ASARE

  Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare has revealed that, anyone who will be vaccinated will have to bring along their National Identification Card. According to him, they can bring along their Ghana Card, Voter’s ID Card, Passport, Drivers License before been allowed to be vaccinated. COVID-19-KSI RESIDENTS URGE GOVERNMENT TO CLAMP DOWN ON STREET BEGGARS

Some residents within the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has urged government to as a matter of urgency clamp down on street beggars mostly children in the region. Speaking to Africannewsgh reporter, Nana Frimpong said, these children between the ages of five (5) to fifteen are seen using maximum force to collect money from them. According to them, their actions can increase the number of covid-19 in the country. They added that, these children can touch a lot people without knowing their covid-19 status.   They urged the government to find a better place for them to stay to curtail the number of covid-19 cases in the country. They revealed that, these some of these children are unclean and sometimes makes their cloth dirty whenever they touch them. Some children from West and Central African countries have invaded the streets of Kumasi, begging for alms to feed themselves and their families. Some even pretend to be sick, preying on the emotions of unsuspecting membe
