THINGS YOU SHOULD AVOID AS A TEENAGER

The teen’s life is one that is full of fun and experiences.
It is characterized by a surge of, fantasy, vigour, optimism and exuberance.
Every teen has lots of aspirations, opportunities as well as myriads of opportunities to exploit.
A teenager is hardly out of ideas, what to do next or where to go after now becomes a headache for them.
However, the above positive assets possessed by teens the fact still remains that most teens are impressionable, they have identity crisis and are prone to mood swings.
They find it difficult to understand themselves and they make it even harder for others to understand them. To conquer these vices and become great in life, teenagers should beware of the following:
1. Pride: a proud teenager is incorrigible and opinionated. He does not take advice from the right sources as he associates with only those who make him feel on top at all times. He surrounds himself with  vain people who themselves have lost track of the way to their destiny. Pride makes you blind to your faults and takes you far from people who could help you in life. A proud teen feels he is right all the way, all the time.
2. Bad friends: Bad companions ruin good character.Bad friends will destroy you completely. I will advice you to have a very good person as your friend especially during teenage period.
3.  Disobedience: Disobedience to God, parents, elders or any constituted authority is destructive to yourselve. Young people are enjoined to obey their parents which will enable them live a long life.
4. Prayerlessness: One key for a successful life as a teenager is to be very prayerful.
5.Beware of sexual sin: The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 that every other sin a man commits is outside the body but whoever commits fornications sins against his own body. Sexual immorality have destroyed the future of more teens than any other sin. Many have ended up carrying sexually transmitted diseases while others ended their prospects due to unwanted pregnancy.
6. Cultism: This satanic practice has lured uncountable number of  teenagers to their untimely graves.
Cultists are the dirtiest cowards you can ever meet never engage yourself with such people.
7. Substance abuse: Drug abuse had destroyed many teenagers in the world.
Many intelligent teens ended as school dropouts because they yielded to their appetite for substance abuse.
8. Obsession/Addiction: For example, if you are unguided the internet can control you, porn can become your master, gambling may take over you. Football, foul language, gothic music, indecent dressing, etc. are all out to take hold of careless teens and control them. Anything that takes your time and attention has become an addiction and should be treated as an enemy till you get your freedom.
Beware of being obsessed or addicted to anything that may not allow you to reach you goal in life.
