Covid-19: Continue to adhere to all protocols-Dr. Nsiah Asare
Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare has appealed to Ghanaians to as a matter of urgency continue to adhere to all protocols to help curtail covid-19 in the country.
Speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Silver fm Omanbapa morning show stated that, the current active case stands at 7, 850, 68,100 people have recovered and 542 has died.
Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare stated that, the only way we can be victorius is to wear the nose mask and continue to keep the social distancing protocols.
According to him, Ghanaians should desist from organizing parties and other ceremonies that can increase the covid-19 in the country.
He urged everyone to visit the hospital if he is not feeling well.

Parts of Afia Kobi market demolished
About 18 traders at the Afia Kobi Market popularly known as Apinkyi Market have been left stranded following the demolishing of some part of the market.
Traders who mainly trade in second hand cloth lamented that, they were evicted without any notice.
They accused the authorities from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) of demolishing the market.
Leader of the Traders Association at the Afia Kobi market, Mad. Janet Boamah speaking to Silver fm's reporter, Akwadaa Nyame accused Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi for sabotaging the traders at the Apinkyi market.
According to her, Regional Minister designate, Hon. Osei Mensah reveaed to them that, under no circumstance would they evict traders at the Afia Kobi market even if traders at the Central Market are located to the market.
She added that, Osei Assibey Antwi has failed to protect the traders at the Afia Kobi market.

Reacting to this, Public relations Officer for Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mad. Henritta Aboagye speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Silver fm Omanbapa Morning show stated that, they have not evicted any trader from the Afia Kobi Market.

GHANA RISK OF FOOD DROUGHT IF DESERTIFICATION PERSISTS-WETLAND MANAGER WARNS
Dickson Agyemang, Operations manager for Wetland under the Forestry Commission has revealed that consistent desertification of lands and building in water ways may lead the country into food crisis in the coming years. Ghana is losing more than 20 percent forest reserve every year due to desertification such as mining activities, felling down of trees and the likes, he revealed when speaking on Omanbapa show with Nana Ampratwum. He added that Ghana is in a risk of food crisis and extreme poverty if we continue the activities that destroy farmlands and forest reserves. Mr. Agyemang therefore encouraged Ghanaians to report people who build in water areas for legal action to be taken against them.
