37 Nigerians arrested over robbery

37 Nigerians have been arrested by the Tarkwa Municipal Police Command suspected to be involved in a robbery case that happened at Agona Wassa in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.

According to the Tarkwa Municipal Police Commander Chief, Superintendent Thomas Osei-Ababio the suspects were arrested based on intelligence they picked from the ground.

He added that, two suspects out of the 37 arrested have been identified as being part of the robbery.

He noted that, the incident happened on March 10, 2021, around 2 am at the Unicom fuel station at Agona Wassa.

The robbers tied the security man at the post before their operations where they bolted away with over Six Thousand Ghana Cedis.

Chief superintendent Osei Ababio said three fuel attendants who saw the robbery operation are assisting the police for investigation in order to arrest the others.

He the two suspects are in police custody, while the rest of the 35 suspects have been granted bail after a rigorous screening exercise.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour.
