Covid-19 Vaccine: No private person should donate covid-19 vaccines- FDA

Ashanti regional Director of Food and Drug Authority (FDA), Madam Nora Tei Larbi has stated that, no private person should donate covid-19 vaccines without going through the needed process.

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued an alert over the seizure of fake Covid-19 vaccines in South Africa.

According to the FDA, ”this alert has become necessary as a result of reports of the seizure of fake COVID19 vaccines in South Africa. The FDA wishes to caution the general public that online advertising, offering for sale and supply of medicinal products including the COVID-19 vaccines are strictly prohibited. Therefore, the public should not purchase any COVID-19 vaccines online”.

Madam Nora speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Silver fm Omanbapa morning show said, anyone who wish to donate covid-19 vaccines should first pass through the Ministry of Health for a thorough research before been accepted.

She added that, all vaccines will be seized at the various ports if they fail to pass through the needed process.

She noted that, Ghana has currently approved only two vaccines.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P).
