Mud takeover Race Course market

Traders at the Kumasi Race Course market are lamenting bitterly due to mud that has taken over race course.

Some of the traders speaking to Silver fm’s reporter, Akwadaa Nyame, stated that, trading has become very difficult for them especially when it rains.

According to them, Queen mother at the market, Maame Kyeiwaa bought some chippings that could have been used to prevent the mud but the authorities have failed to support.

They added that, they will not pay for any ticket if the authorities do not come to their aid.

They noted that, Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi is aware of their plight but has neglected them.

Queen mother at the market, Maame Kyeiwaa also stated that, they have done everything humanly possible to develop the Race Course market but had been neglected by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity. EMT organizes free health screening

  Emergency Medical Technicians Association of Ghana (EMT) in the National Ambulance service of the Ashanti Region has organized a free health screening exercise for Ambulance workers in the Ashanti Region.
