KMA to demolish unauthorized buildings

 

Town and country department under the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) are set to demolish unauthorized buildings in the country.

Owners who do not have a permit will have their structures pulled down by the authorities.

Kumasi Metropolitan City Engineer, Mr. David Ameyaw speaking to the media said, a developer has been seen building a structure without any permit at Duase in the Kumasi Metropolis.

According to him, the structure is very weak and will cause a great havoc if care is not taken.

He added that, they ordered him to stop work and gave him a letter to his preferred consultant which came out that, the structure needs to be demolished.

He noted that, the developer was still building the structure at the blind side of the Engineers.

He stressed that, they will demolish the building before it collapse on any resident.

Kasoa: Rt. Chief Inspector rapes granddaughter

 A 72 year old retired Police Chief Inspector, Samuel Larbi has been arrested by the Kasoa Police for allegedly defiling her 6 years old granddaughter.

Sister of the victim who spoke in anonymity said, the suspect has been defiling the child for about one year.

According to her, she saw blood oozing from the girl’s vagina after she urinated and upon interrogations revealed that, the victim has been having sex with her for a long time.

She added that, the victim had been living with the suspect after their parents died.

The victim (name withheld) in an interview said the suspect has been inserting his fingers into her vagina and warned her not to disclose to anyone.
