Private Health Providers lament over lack of support


Private Health Providers Association of Ghana is complaining bitterly over the current upsurge in the covid-19 cases.

President of the Association, Dr. Boakye Donkor speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Silver fm Omanbapa morning show said, they are working very hard to ensure that, the Ghanaians are protected from contracting covid-19.

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA), has expressed concern about the current trend of positive COVID-19 cases in the country.

The Association says it fears that the country’s health system will not be able to accommodate the rising cases should the trend continue.

Dr. Donkor added that, the prices of the equipments been used at the hospital has increased due to this pandemic.

According to him, the government has failed to support the private health Association despite owing them their allowance.

He added that, it will be very difficult for them to treat people who have contract the virus if they government fails to support them.
