Construct Yamfo roads- Chief to President Akufo Addo

President of Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs who doubles as the Paramount Chief of Yamfo in the Tano North, Nana Ansah Adu Baah II has pleaded with President Akufo Addo to as matter urgency construct their deplorable roads for them.

According to him, the road linking Tanoso Bomaa- Tepa is in a bad state hence the need for the government to intervene.

He made this known during President Akufo Addo’s as part of his “Thank You Tour” begun two-day working visit to the Ahafo Region.

Nana Ansah Adu Baah II said, the contractors responsible for constructing the road has left it which has make life unbearable for them.

President Akufo Addo also assured the Chief and people of Yamfo that, the government will work hard to develop the district.

President Akufo Addo added that, “I know majority of the residents within the District are members of the New Patriotic Party hence the need for us (Government) to work hard and convince the rest to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party in 2024 general elections.

While in the region, the president will commission completed projects, inspects ongoing ones, cut sod for the commencement of new development projects, and address some chiefs and people at community durbars.

His recent tours have taken him to Upper East and West regions, North East, Savannah and Northern regions.

He’s just completed regional tour of Bono East and Bono regions before starting Ahafo region this morning.

Deputy registrar for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Dr. Bekoe has told Nana Ampratwum that only final year students would be studying on campus whilst others continue studying online. Speaking on the Omanbapa morning show, he said the 6th year medical students would spend 3 weeks on campus for exams before they end the semester and the 5th year also follow suit afterwards due to social distancing. This follows the easing of Covid-19 restrictions to enable educational institutions to re-open for final year students on June 15. Dr. Bekoe also clarified that no students has been asked to come for their belongings at the campus as speculated on the social media.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity. I had no other option than to wait because I might be attacked if I decided to walk to the main road that’s why I couldn’t get here on time to produce to morning news.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P). S&P last week downgraded Ghana’s foreign and local credit ratings from B-B’ to CCC+C with a negative economic outlook. According to S&P, the downgrade was due to intensifying financing and external pressures on the economy.
