Contractor has abandoned our road- Kenyansi No.1 hene

Paramount Chief of Kenyasi No.1 in the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo region,

Nana Osei Kofi Abiri II has pleaded with President Akufo Addo to as a matter of urgency give the needed materials to the Contractor to help continue the construction of their road.

According to him, the, contractor, Kofi Job construction limited has abandoned the project which has make life difficult for them.

He made this passionate appeal to the President as part of his two day working tour to the Ahafo region.

Nana Osei Kofi Abirii II added that, the youth in the area have threatened to embark on series of demonstration but the due to the timely intervention of the traditional leaders, they stopped hence the need for the government to as a matter of urgency help construct the Kenyasi- Hwidiem road.

President Akufo Addo also assured the Chief and people of Kenyasi No.1 that, he will complete the Kenyasi- Hwidiem road before he leaves office.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity. I had no other option than to wait because I might be attacked if I decided to walk to the main road that’s why I couldn’t get here on time to produce to morning news.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P). S&P last week downgraded Ghana’s foreign and local credit ratings from B-B’ to CCC+C with a negative economic outlook.
