Covid-19 protocols: The leaders have lost their moral rights- Dr. Nawaane

Member of Parliament for Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East region, Hon. Mark Kurt Nawaane has stated that, the government has lost their moral rights to order Ghanaians to observe the safety protocols of the covid-19.

According to him, the government failed to observe the safety protocols during some ceremonies and it will be difficult for them to tell Ghanaians to observe the protocols.

Currently, Ghana has recorded 104, 994 cases whiles 98,229 have recovered and 837 are dead

 

Hon. Nawaane added that, why should Ghanaians adhere to the protocols when the leaders shunned them.

 

He stressed that, it is sad that a lot of Ghanaians are not adhering to the safety protocols especially in this new Delta variant which is deadlier than the first and second one.

 

He advised Ghanaians not to follow the footsteps of the government but rather continue to observe the safety protocols to help curb the spread of the virus.

 

He again added that, the delay in the covid-19 vaccines has become of the major problem the country is facing.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P).
