#FixTheCountry demonstration: No party colors allowed at the grounds- PRO

All is set for the #fixthecountry demonstration after a successful meeting between the Conveners and the Acting Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare.

Public Relations Officer for the demonstrators, Anthony Morkeh speaking to the media said, under no circumstance should anyone bring any political party colors to the grounds.

According to him, they are not been motivated by any Political party hence the need for anyone to abstain from bringing any political party colors to the grounds.

The Acting Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, has thrown his weight behind the conveners of the #FixTheCountry demonstration and assured them of providing them with maximum security.

The meeting, which was called by Mr. Akuffo Dampare, was, according to him, to “assure the protesters of maximum protection from the start to the end of the August 4 #FixTheCountry protest.”

Anthony Morkeh added that, the protest will begin at the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange through the Frisco Traffic Light towards the TUC-Kinbu Senior High School road and ends at Black Star Square.

He again added that, they will be clad in red and black cloth whiles others will be given free #fixthecountry T- shirt and promised to observe the safety protocols to help curtail the spread of the virus.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity. I had no other option than to wait because I might be attacked if I decided to walk to the main road that’s why I couldn’t get here on time to produce to morning news.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P).
