Scores of Ghanaians have hit the streets of Accra to protest against the government dubbed #fixthecountry.
Protestors clad in black and red demanded that government addresses the many economic and social challenges facing the country.
Some of them hold placards with the inscription, “High Rate of Taxes killing us, Ghana Youth must arise, our roads are bad, Wake up Mr. President etc.
Some of the participant stormed the Obra Spot near Kwame Nkrumah Circle as early as 6:00 am to commence the march.
Some protesters travelled all the way from Toase, Obuasi, Bibiani and the Northern part of the country to support the demonstrations.
Dennis Kwakwa speaking to Joynewsplus stated that, though Ghanaians have the right to embark on demonstration to express their concerns against the government but this government has fulfill some of the promises he made to the people prior to the elections.
According to him, the people believe in President Akufo Addo hence the need for them to embark on that demonstration.
He added that, “The government has been able to implement Free SHS policy when others thought he can’t do it, One- District, One- Factory is ongoing, construction of major roads are also ongoing etc.
“Again unemployment rate has reduced making life easier and better for Ghanaians especially the youth”, he said.
