#FixTheCountry protest: We are dying- Protestors

 

 Scores of Ghanaians have hit the streets of Accra to protest against the government dubbed #fixthecountry.

Protestors clad in black and red demanded that government addresses the many economic and social challenges facing the country.

Some of them hold placards with the inscription, “High Rate of Taxes killing us, Ghana Youth must arise, our roads are bad, Wake up Mr. President etc.

Some of the participant stormed the Obra Spot near Kwame Nkrumah Circle as early as 6:00 am to commence the march.

Some protesters travelled all the way from Toase, Obuasi, Bibiani and the Northern part of the country to support the demonstrations.

All the protestors were wearing their nose masks to help protect them from contracting the covid-19 virus.

According to them, the economy of this country is worse hence the need for them to rise up and urged the government to work and transform the economy.

They added that, both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party are both responsible for the current state of the economy.
