Nat’l Cathedral: Ghanaians have misinterpreted Ken Ofori Atta- Secretariat

The Secretary of the Board of Trustees in charge of the National Cathedral project, Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng has stated that, a lot of Ghanaians have misinterpreted what the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta said about building of the National Cathedral.

Social media has been on fire as Ghanaians finally express their displeasure over the government’s call on citizens to support the building of a National Cathedral, to be commissioned on March 6, 2024, Government is appealing to the citizens to at least contribute GH₵100 a month to make this dream a reality.

Some said that government should rather look at raising revenue to improve the health and education sectors as well as provide Ghanaians with good roads and other social amenities.

Another said “I would rather wish to contribute 100gh to improve our health sector, build more schools and roads and also create jobs rather than build a national cathedral just to fulfill a political promise”.

But Prophet Kusi Boateng said, President Akufo Addo will not be responsible for the building of the National Cathedral.

According to him, President Akufo Addo prior to the elections promised God, he will build a cathedral to honor him if he retains the seat as the President.

He added that, the National Cathedral will have a huge benefit for Ghanaians.
