Observe the covid-19 protocols ahead of the Homowo traditional festival

 


The Chief Executive officer of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly, Hon.Boye layea has advised the Chiefs and people of the GA Dangme community to observe the covid-19 protocols ahead of their Homowo traditional festival.

According to him,the outbreak of the pandemic has had a devastating impact on social lives ,thus urging chiefs and the Ga Dangme people of the to strictly abide by the protocols enrolled to celebrate the festival. 

Homowo is a harvest festival celebrated by the Ga people of Ghana. The festival starts in the month of August with the planting of crops before the rainy season starts.

He made these remarks when he donated food items to the Chiefs and elders of Achimota Traditional Authority (NII ACHIMOTA WE )  and Akwateman Mantse.

The Chief of Achimota Traditional Authority, Nii Ayi Bonte Adams III in an interview with media, he thanked MCE of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly for the donation and called on the President to retain Hon.Boye layea as the next MCE.
