President Akufo Addo is our Messiah- Lawyer Obiri Boahen

Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen has hailed President Akufo Addo for his intentions to make tertiary education free.

According to him, President Akufo Addo is the Messiah of this country whether looking at what he is doing for the country.

President Akufo-Addo says his government is likely to introduce a free tertiary education programme as part of increasing access to education for more Ghanaian youth.

The President however did not disclose further details.

“For now, what has been put in place is a system where students at the tertiary level are provided loans while in school to help them cater for their needs, but we’re considering free Tertiary education too,” he said.

The President made this revelation during the Global Education Summit held in London on Thursday, July 29.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen speaking to the media said, though they haven’t implemented the free tertiary but he salutes him (President Akufo Addo) for even saying that.

He added that, the government should ignore those who are against the decision and help develop the country.

To the Editor, Why I didn’t show up for the morning news production on Monday On that fateful day (Monday, April 4 th 2022) I was preparing to come and produce the morning news despite the heavy rainfall and lack of electricity in my area. I was ready to come around 4:30am when my father ordered me to wait due to crime rate in my area and especially such an ungodly hour. From where l stay, I have to board a taxi to the main road before getting a car to work but unfortunately, there was no car at the time I arrived there around 5:10am because of the rain and lack of electricity.   Have confidence; I’m determined to fix economy despite downgrade – Nana Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is confident Ghana’s economy will bounce back despite the recent downgrade by international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s (S&P).
