2022 Budget approved today

The 2022 budget has been approved by the Parliament of Ghana.

The First Deputy Speaker who sat in for the Speaker said on Tuesday that “The House has adopted the financial statement and approved the budget statement for the ensuring year ending 31st December 2021.”

“This hose has approved the budget and economic statement,” he stressed.

The budget was approved without the Minority in parliament.

The budget was approved by 138 members according to the constitution.

The Majority leader in Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu moved a motion for rescission as minority absent themselves from parliament.

The Finance Minister, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta amended the 2022 budget which was later approved by the Parliament.
