It makes no sense to impose new taxes– Group
The Economic Fighters League has blasted government over its move to impose new taxes on Ghanaians.
According to the group’s Spokesperson, Nii Aye Opare, Ghanaians are already suffering under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and for that matter, it makes no sense for new taxes to be introduced to the country.
He added that, the stance of the group on the 2022 Budget Statement is that it will only bring unbearable hardships on Ghanaians.
Nii Aye Opare stressed that, having analysed the 2022 budget, they have come to the conclusion that the budget presents no hope for the people but rather its proposed policies and measures will exacerbate the plight of the people and increase the hardship on us.

A group of commercial transport operators, known as the True Drivers Union, has said the government’s resistance to help reduce fuel prices is disappointing.
