BROTHER KILLS BROTHER AT AKOKOAMONG

Disheartening information reaching Silver News indicates that, a 27 year old, Kofi Aquah popularly known as Alabista has been butchered to death by his brother, Owura. The incident happened at a farming community called Akokoamong near Pakoso in the Asokore Mampong District of the Ashanti Region. Narrating the sadden incident to Silver Omanbapa Morning Show, Emmanuel Owusu Bannie-eye witness told host, Nana Ampratwum that, the deceased had a little misunderstanding with his younger brother (Owura-the suspect) and threatened to beat him. According to Emma, Owura (the suspect) informed his older brother in vicinity to revenge on his behalf. The brother hired thugs (rascals) who stormed the town(Akokoamong) to fight for the younger brother. The confusion was separated by the community members but two of the thugs refused to return to the place. They later meandered themselves to the room where Kofi Aquah was hiding. DOOM PROPHECIES AFFECT ELDERLY PEOPLE- HON. FREDA PREMPEH

The Deputy Minister of Gender Ministry who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region, Hon. Freda Prempeh has expressed her grave shock and incalculable revulsion at the lynching of a 90-year old woman. The video making rounds on social media shows the old woman being lynched on suspicion of witchcraft. This unfortunately, led to her death. The sad incident is said to have occurred at a village called Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region. She blame some Prophets and soothsayers who make some unpleasantly prophecies just to tarnish the image of people especially age men and women. MAHAMA DOESN’T MAKE ANY RECKLESS PROMISES- SAMMY GYAMFI

Communication Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has stated that, the NDC is going to fulfill all their promises they have to Ghanaians when they come back to power. According to him, they will show how they will pay within one year, the locked-up funds of all customers of the collapsed financial firms in the banking sector cleanup undertaken by the NPP government. He added that, there is a lot of money in the country looking at the money they are spending on different kinds of things. He noted that, Mahama is not a person who makes reckless promises that President Akuffo Addo made during the 2016 general elections. COVID-19 PANDEMIC ADVERSELY AFFECTED ECONOMY- AKWABOAH

Chief Executive Officer of t he Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Mr. Seth Akwaboah has revealed that, the industries have been severely affected by this pandemic. According to him, last year they had a very good inflation within reasonable range whiles exchange rate wasn’t too bad in terms of cedis fluctuations. He added that, this economy needs to be stimulated to create jobs. He noted that, the stimulus packages will not have impact on a big company level. Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta on Thursday presented to Parliament a mid-year fiscal policy review of the 2020 Budget Statement and Economic Policy as well as Supplementary Estimates of the Government by moving a motion to seek parliamentary approval to spend additional GH¢11,896,477,566.00 to support government expenditure for the rest of the year. He again disclosed that, the reduction in communication service tax will positively help Ghanaians.

I WORKED FOR A GOOD MAN- ANYIDOHO TO LATE ATTAH MILLS

Former Communications Director at the Presidency during the erstwhile late Prof. Evans Atta Mills' era, Koku Anyidoho has eulogized his former boss, describing him as a   good man. According to him, Prof. Attah Mills had faith in him and brought out the best in him. He added that, Prof Attah Mills has a good vision for Ghanaians but along the line, God called him. Today marked the eighth anniversary of the death of late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills. Former Spokesperson at the Presidency and now Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho earlier this morning held a remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony for his late boss. Former President Jerry John Rawlings, together with some members of parliament were at the ceremony to also lay their wreaths to commemorate the late Mills. Mr. Anyidoho also used the opportunity to cut the sod for the refurbishment of the Atta Mills Institute.
