 Covid-19: Gov't should close down Kindergarten, lower Primary class-NGO in Health Outgoing President and Executve Director of NGO on Health, Dr. Gaberiel Banaku has urged government to reconsider closing down kindergarten and lower primary schools in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. According to him, though is good to reopen schools but these pupils are risk in contracting the virus. He added that, it is very difficult for these children to adhere to all the protocols to help curb the spread of the virus. He noted that, per their survey students in the Upper Primary to Junior High Schools are adhereing to the protocols but not these students in the kindergarten and lower primaries. He revealed that, the children are safer in the house compared to been in the schools. .....DR. BANAKU FIRST...... He again urged the government to support local tailors and seamstress to make many local nose mask certified under the Food and Drug Authorities. ....DR. BANAKU SECOND.....
Covid-19: There are unidentifiable people with the virus-Dr. Serebour Vice President of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr. Frank Serebour has stated that, there are a lot of people in the streets who are having the virus. Acccording to him, these numbers on the streets are three times higher the the numbers given out to the public. He added that, majority of the people doesn't visit the hospital whiles others rely on self medications. He noted that, the increment of the virsu is very alarming hence the need for everyone to adhere to all protocols. He disclosed that, a lot of people are getting sicker everyday which is very alarming.   NDC MPs demand withdrawal of security deployed to Parliament ahead of Akufo-Addo’s inauguration The Minority in Parliament has demanded the immediate withdrawal of security personnel who were deployed to Parliament ahead of President Akufo-Addo’s swearing-in on Thursday, January 7. A statement signed by the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu accused the government of using the National Security to advance parochial partisan interests, which in his view is an affront to the dignity of the legislative arm of government. According to him, the Parliament “represents the bulwark of democracy in the country”, therefore, government’s use of a “Gestapo-style security invasion” on the premises is in contempt of the House.
