  E-levy implementation: Our businesses will collapse- MoMo Agents cry Some Mobile Money Merchants have cried bitterly following the implementation of the E-levy which will be effective from 1 st May, 2022. According to them, majority of them will lose their jobs due to its implementations. They added that, their customers have earlier told them that, they will stop the electronic transactions should incase the government approve the e-levy. They made these comments after the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has indicated that the implementation of the 1.5% Electronic Transfer Levy (E-levy) will be done in phases. It indicated that the decision to phase the implementation is due to its assessment of the readiness of the charging entities.   Panpanso No. 1: Demolishing of buildings is very unfortunate- Hon. Dompreh Member of Parliament for Nsawam- Adoagyiri who doubles as the Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh has expressed his discomfort following the illegal demolishing of over 11 houses at Panpanso No. 1. He made this comment after the residents of Panpanso No.1, a farming community went on a rampage Monday morning after over 11 houses in the community were illegally demolished by masked armed men at the behest of an alleged real estate developer. The affected persons became agitated and embarked on a spontaneous demonstration blocking the main Accra – Kumasi Highway. Over 200 demonstrators blocked the highway with logs and stones, and additionally burnt tyres. Hon. Dompreh speaking to the media said is very unfortunate that so many houses have been demolished. According to him, he got a distressed call in the wee hours and he called the Police Command to help restore calm in the community.
