The Party Supports Ofori Atta-Ahiagbah
The majority sides in Parliament comprising the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members have relaxed their stance to boycott the 2023 budget presentation if it will be delivered by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
The Majority have also resolved to support Mr Ofori-Atta in the passage of the 2023 budget, after an intervention by the leadership and Council of Elders of the NPP during their crunch meeting on Tuesday night.
The Communications Director of the NPP, Mr Richard Ahiagbah in an interview with Lovin’ C, host of the Silver Omanbapa Morning Show said, every political party has a constitution which guides its proceedings. And our constitution indicates we support the finance minister.

We have the men for various jobs, it is not as if only Ken Ofori Atta can be the Finance Minister but we as a party cannot go contrary to what our constitution says, and the State as a whole has given the mandate to the president to appoint and also sack so if he deems it fit, he will sack the finance minister.
