  The President of Ghana, H. E. Nana Akufo Addoand Otumfour Osei Tutu II has today officially opened the Kumasi Integrated Composting Recycling Plant at Esereso_Adagya in the Bosomtwe District.    He expressed his profound gratitude to the management of Jospong Group of Companies and other stakeholders for the success of the Kumasi Composting Recycling Plant. According to him, the Kumasi Composting Recycling Plant is a state waste management facility with the capacity to process some 1,200 metric tons per day. He added that, the facility comprises of washing bay, clinic, conference etc that will help bost the company. “I commend Jospong group of Company for the construction of the 7.5k road”, he said. He noted the Composting Recycling plant will create some 800 directly and indirectly employment opportunity in the Ashanti region. “This project will help reduce the unemployment rate within the country”, he noted.   The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen has vowed to fight the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following their gruesome history. According to him, the NDC has a bad record when it comes to dealing with people especially members of the other parties. He added that, in 1996 he was nearly detained by the Police at Sunyani when Former President, Flt. Jerry John Rawlings was visiting the region. He noted that, the NDC takes pride about the detainment of J B Danquah which clearly shows how bad the NDC are. “I am a lawyer and a historian so I know what am saying” he said. H disclosed that, Ghanaians should be very wary of the NDC and know how to handle them. He again cautioned all members of the NPP to be cautious when dealing with the NDC.

Private Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has chided Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong following his harsh statement against a judge. According to him, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has been over pampered in this country which has resulted into this. He added that, he was shocked when he heard those kinds of insult Kennedy Agyapong rained on the judge.     The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on former President John Dramani Mahama to apologise to the people of Akyem for allegedly describing them as “Akyem Sakawa Mafia". This, according to him, is because it is unacceptable for the former President to lump a whole tribe with one negative description.
